Prepster Tag

Hi y’all! I have watched many Youtube videos of the prepster tag and decided why not to do the tag on my blog. Hope you find this interesting. Be sure to follow me on Instagram @MonogrammedMadison. I tag YOU to do this tag either on your blog, in the comments below, or on Instagram. Thanks for reading!

1. What’s your definition of preppy?
To me, preppy is a classic style that is timeless and never goes out of style.

2. What’s your all-time favorite brand?
I know this is totally the cliché answer, but Lilly Pulitzer is my all-time favorite brand. From dresses to tops to skirts, Lilly Pulitzer has it all. I adore the bright colors. I find the fit of Lilly Pulitzer items to be perfect.

3. Show us your favorite Lilly item/ what is your favorite print?
It’s difficult to choose my favorite Lilly item. I am a big Lilly lover. My favorite item is my Lobstah Roll Delia shift. I received this as a gift for my birthday in May. I love this print and the style fits so cute.

4. Favorite preppy Youtuber?
I don’t really watch a lot of Youtube videos, but I do adore Sarahbelle93x. She has such a cute style and makes fabulous videos.

5. Jack Rogers or Sperrys?
Most definitely Jack Rogers. I do not think Sperrys are very cute.

I own two pairs of Jack Rogers, lime/gold and
platinum. I hope to add more to my collection!

6. Jeans or Khakis?
I really don’t wear either. If I had to choose, I would pick jeans.

7.
Opinion on Oxfords?
Like most people on YouTube, I don’t know if this is asking about the shoes or the tops. I am not a huge fan of the shoes, but I love the tops. I think oxfords are so cute paired with shorts in the summer and jeans and puffer vests in the fall. Oxford tops are so versatile.

8. Duck boots, Riding Boots, or Hunters?
Riding boots are definitely my favorite. I love pairing them with dresses and a scarf or jeans and a puffer vest.

9. Navy or Black?
My motto is navy or nothing. Over half of my closet is navy. I think navy is just so classic and looks so great paired with yellow, white, green, or pink.

10. Scale of 1-10 how much do you love J.Crew?
Am I allowed to say more than a 10? Everything from J.Crew is so perfect. I own a bunch of J.Crew chinos and love their tops and dresses.

11. Favorite Ralph Lauren clothing item?
I really don’t own a lot of Ralph Lauren, but this top is my favorite oxford. The color matches many of my Lilly shorts.

12. Pearls or bows?
This is the hardest question ever! Pearls and bows are my favorite two accessories, but if I had to choose one I would say pearls. Pearls are timeless.

I received this beautiful strand of Tiffany & Co.
pearls for my birthday this year.

Am I worthy of God's love?

1 John 4:8 NIV

Last night while spending time with God and reading my devotional book (Jesus Calling by Sarah Young), I began thinking about the question am I worthy of God’s love? When I find myself in situations where I have fallen to temptation or given into sin, I begin to think that I am not worthy or not good enough for God’s love. But being children of God means we don’t have to be perfect and sinless to have God’s love rather that we know God’s grace and know he loves us unconditionally.
For me, when things are going well and I am doing everything “right” it seems easier to believe that I am a child of God and that God really does love me. But when I feel discouraged or fall to sin, I try to fix myself so that God will love me. God’s love is unconditionally. Rather than trying to fix ourselves, we should focus on Christ. The bible says in Psalms 34:5, those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered in shame. God is the ultimate forgiver. We do not need to fix ourselves to be loved by him.
So this upcoming week, I am going to focus more on my relationship with Christ and less on trying to fix myself. I often times find myself concentrating on the mistakes I have made instead of repenting my sins to God, learning from my mistakes, and moving on. After all, is impossible for us to fix ourselves without God. 1 John 1:19 says, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us of our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. This week I challenge you, myself included, to dive into God’s word and deepen your relationship with Christ.

Summertime Saturday

Hi y’all! Today was the best day a girl could ask for. From getting dressed up in Lilly, drinking tea from a tea cup, and walking around the downtown, today was fabulous. A friend and I threw on our favorite Lilly dresses and headed downtown to the Oxford Exchange for brunch. The Oxford Exchange is an eclectic and diverse restaurant, coffee shop, and book store. It has a comfy yet chic vibe. For more information, click here.

It was a Lilly dress and heels kinda day.

Resort White Spritz Lottie dress)

For brunch, I ordered the Florida orange blossom green tea (this Florida girl loves her some orange blossom) and strawberry short stack. The strawberry buttermilk pancakes were topped with citrus basil sweet cream. The meal was beyond delicious and perfect for summertime!

Yes, I was being that girl taking pictures of her food
but how cute are these pancakes; they are pink!

Sipping on my delicious tea; pinkies up!
Following the delicious brunch, my friend and I looked through the adorable bookshop which is filled with a variety of classics and modern books. Personally, I am not much of a reader but I do love a good coffee table book. When I found this book, I may have squealed just a little. The book is titled Preppy. The foreword was written by the queen of prep herself, Ms. Lilly Pulitzer. I am slightly addicted to Gossip Girl (actually really addicted), so seeing Chuck and Blair in this book excited me as well.
My friend and I flipping through the book Preppy.

Spotted: Chuck and Blair in the book Preppy.

After we finished up at the Oxford Exchange, we took a stroll through the downtown area and through the University of Tampa. The campus is very historical and has lots of brick which I just adore. We laughed and took lots of pictures as we explored around downtown.
The beautiful University of Tampa.

I had such a fun and fabulous day enjoying tasty food, good laughs, and exploring pretty places. This is one of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday. All About Me

Hi y’all and welcome to my new blog! I am excited to launch this blog and share my love for fashion, fun, and faith with y’all. My name is Madison and I live in the Sunshine State. I will be beginning my senior year this fall. In the fall of 2015, I hope to be starting college at either the University of Florida or Auburn University. I would like to go to pharmacy school and become a doctor of pharmacy.

When I am not studying, I enjoy playing golf, shopping, and helping others. I am a member of my high school’s girl’s golf team and love being on a team with such funny and sweet girls. I am addicted to anything pink, Lilly Pulitzer, or monogrammed. Many people know me as “the girl who monograms everything”, so it only seemed fitting to name my blog Monogrammed Madison. Although I do love shopping and doing other girly things, I am passionate about helping others. I am involved in a local charity that provides in need school-age children in my community with school clothes free of charge. By volunteering and organizing clothing drives, I get to share my love of fashion and helping others.

Lastly, I am a follower of Christ and hope to share my testimony through this blog. I came to Christ a little over a year ago and my life has forever been changed. I am continuing to grow in my relationship and hope encourage and share the gospel with others. God has blessed and provided me so many skills and opportunities to share his love with others.

I am excited to start blogging and share memories through my senior year! Be sure to follow me on Instagram @MonogrammedMadison. Also comment below if there are any particular blog posts you would like me to do.
